You reach up on tap on the door with your knuckles, then wait a moment. You can hear the pounding from inside, muffled through the door, and the laughter. But as you knock again, nothing happens. The sound doesn't stop, as if the woman laughing either hasn't heard you knock, or doesn't care. So you knock louder. Still, there's no answer. Only the consistent thud and laugh.
