Once Rory recovers from his injures, the whipping takes place.
Rory is stripped from the waist up and tied to the grating. The whip cracks against Rory's bareback. The second lash cracks across his shoulders. The third hits his middle back. Another two lashes followed. A sixth lash draws blood. After twenty lashes, Rory's back is a mess of scars and he is taken back to the surgeon.
