Though your life has started as anything but well, you have turned out alright. You can't be sure, but you suppose that your siring had been an act of violence, as you have been abandoned by your mother upon birth. Thankfully she had been mercyful and loving enough to do so where you would be found, a well traveled road to be precise. A wandering monk found you and knowing that you would most likely not get another chance, brought to to the steps of his monastery.

There you grew up among brothers and sisters, equal to them. In a way you were thankful to your mother, whoever she might be, for giving you this chance in life. You never went hungry and neither grew you up without love, on the contrary, you had a fulfilling, rich childhood, filled with laughter, love and discipline. Though you had a harder time mastering your temper than others, you never had any trouble with the more physical aspects of life, both thanks to your heritage. You mastered the art of unarmed combat and made your body a weapon as well as a temple. That does not mean you like violence, on the contrary, you abhor it, yet you know that sometimes it is a neccesary evil.

Now, after years of learning and months of wandering the roads of the North, you arrive in the great city of Waterdeep. The guards at the gate seem to be taken aback by your calm demeanor and your simple appearance, like you have often experienced since you left the monastery, yet they let you in and even point you towards a few places which could be interesting for you as well as such you should not visit if you hold your life, and your purse, dear.

As you stand on the busy streets of the city you ponder what to do next.

D&D: You are sure that destiny will reveal itself. Just follow the road to wherever it leads you.

D&D: Perhaps it would be best to find a suitable place to sleep. Visit the "Midnight Sun"-Tavern to secure a bed for the night.

D&D: You know that there is a small monastery of the Sun Soul Monks in this city. You should visit your brothers and sisters, perhaps they will be welcoming towards you.
