You sit and wait.
After a minute, the voice is back. “What are you doing? Choose!”
You remain silent.
“Choose! Or I will choose for you!”
You remain quiet. It is a silent rebellion, and one that cannot be quelled. As you’ve realized over the past few jumps, it was always you who chose your path. This voice never controlled you – only guided you in between Jumps. The voice can never touch or manipulate you physically, nor you him. The voice is only a voice.
“Choose! Choose!” it starts screaming. “Choose! Choose!”
You stay still.
“Choose!” it panics. “Choose!”
Click. Beep.
