Father doesn’t even bother to tell me who!’’

More thoughts cross your mind but are shut down by your trust in your Father. You practice your smile and laugh, you never know when you'll need it.

Your laughter is cut short by a shudder down your spine. You confront the mirror with a scrutinizing eye. You look at yourself, without the layers of cloth. You see a slender woman with curves that could stop a man dead in his tracks. Hmm. A lengthy sun-kissed face with popping azure eyes show courage and anxiety. Perfect cover. Chestnut brown hair reaches your hips, bangs swept slightly to the left, revealing only what your Father would want.

“If I am going to be married off, I will show my true self!” you maid comes upon request as you question your mindset. Your gown of choice is:

An ankle length frilly pink gown that shows off your figure. A dagger is strapped to each thigh to ensure your safety.

A golden dress that refrains any easy movement and shows a great deal of cleavage. You decide to hide a razor blade under a corset.

A swift, cream gown that sweeps the ground with every step, layers of silk and tule make balance an art. You skip a knife and rely on your Father's care and instructions, as always.
