This is a semi RPG based adventure game, meaning that although the points used for characters do translate into their abilities in the story, they do not have hit points and do not fight as if the story was a D&D game. Instead, your character's points are simply indicators of what talents that character has.
This story takes place about a month after a zombie epidemic has swept the world, starting in China and eventually moving across the world, decimating the population. It is estimated that about 1 in 100 people are still alive at the beginning of this story, but the number is dropping rapidly. The reader will have the option of playing as one of nine characters, all high school students, and based on real people. You will see from your characters point of view.
To help pick your character, you must consider their various skill points. All points add up to 50, making every character equal in total. The different traits are: Charisma, or how well characters can get along with others and how good they are at convincing others of their opinion; Intelligence, how smart a character is; Strength; Speed; Dexterity, or how flexible and agile a character is; Ability, or how easily a character can learn new skills; Perception, or how perceptive characters are and how well they can sense danger; Luck, how lucky a character is. Each character also has a few special skills which are noted below them. Here are your options:
Gabe Trevor. C=4, I=10, St=6, Sp=5, D=6, A=11, P=4, L=4. Specials: Excellent biker; can fix many mechanical objects.
Lucas Marin. C=2, I=10, St=12, Sp=10, D=9, A=3, P=1, L=3. Specials: Incredibly strong and fit; has excellent endurance.
Jon Baay. C=8, I=10, St=6, Sp=9, D=2, A=7, P=3, L=5. Specials: Allergic to most foods but doesn't have to eat much; more perceptive while in churches.
Jason Rudolph. C=4, I=6, St=11, Sp=10, D=2, A=9, P=3, L=5. Specials: Good with electronics; excellent hiker.
Nathan Kjer: C=5, I=10, St=5, Sp=7, D=4, A=10, P=4, L=5. Specials: Excellent hacker; proficient with all electronics.
Elena Weissman. C=5, I=10, St=7, Sp=8, D=8, A=7, P=5, L=1. Specials: Good runner, good with animals.
Zoe Temple. C=8, I=10, St=5, Sp=4, D=11, A=8, P=2, L=2. Specials: Extremely flexible, very tall.
Jimmy Tu. C=4, I=10, St=7, Sp=7, D=3, A=9, P=4, L=6. Specials: Excellent at aiming weapons; will eat anything.
Eli McBell. C=9, I=10, St=7, Sp=9, D=2, A=8, P=3, L=2. Specials: Good hiker, good at convincing people.
