Bloodsport:WritersGuide
From Create Your Own Story
If you are here, then you have expressed an interest in leading lambs to the slaughter. It really is quite simple to make your mark in the Bloodsport. universe. All it requires is a bit of hard work and dedication.
Let me begin by saying this. Bloodsport. is what I like to call "Semi-Open" in that you may write the stories of your own characters in, but that you may not add or edit pages in an existing character's storyline without the permission of that character's author. Besides, starting your own character allows you to have more fun while you build the world of Bloodsport.
So what does a character need?
Well, any Bloodsport. character worth writing about is a student. Faculty and Staff of Creekview High are, for the Królowa Krwis own safety, gone. The school has also been transported to a location outside of the modern timeline. By all accounts of anyone living in Creekview, there never was a school there. They never had kids, what are you talking about? The school now exists on a floating plot of land. Whether or not it is the stereotypical chunk that appears to have been dug out of the ground and flung into the darkness of... well, non-existence, is up to you.
The fact that the Królowa Krwi has moved everyone out is vital to the story because it both locks the students in, giving her complete control of them, and it also covers the authors ass as to how such a thing could happen in modern society. Bored goddess, that's how.
Oh, and that's another thing. The Królowa Krwi is a goddess. Literally, "Królowa Krwi" means "Queen of Blood" in Polish. Whether or not she is immortal is up to the storyline's author. Whether or not there is a truly "happy" ending is up to the storyline's author.
The structure of the tournament, the Przemocy Konkurencji, is another choice of the writer. You can do whatever you want, as long as you can get it to the ending point with either 512 dead or, in some cases, 513. Ladder-tournament like Marissa? Sure. All-out guerrilla warfare? Knock yourself out. Find a way to make it happen, and carry that idea to the end.
Once you've got the idea, find a way to transfer the student to the outer-world, and then follow with the introduction of the Królowa Krwi, and so on.
And, as always, remember the golden rule... the gorier, the better.
More information on the Królowa Krwi
Another thing authors control is how the Królowa Krwi manifests herself to set the events of Creekview in motion. In Marissa's storyline, she manifests herself in her "natural" form, an almost angelic stereotype of a white-clad blonde. Such an appearance has helped her gain the favor of mortals ever since the beginning of time, but she is also able to be bound to a human vessel. Whether or not the vessel needs some sort of binding object like a necklace or other item is optional, as she may also simply assume control of someone if she so pleases.
The Królowa Krwi's strongest method of influence, however, is her ability to take control of a mortal. As with so many other things, the level of control she maintains and whether or not it's obvious the vessel is occupied is - all together now - up to you.
Brief Tips
Check the students list to see who is currently enrolled. If you want to start writing the character's path, bold their name and go for it. If adding a new character, remember to add them to both the public roster and the writer's roster. Oh, and please remember to keep it alphabetical on there. It just makes it easy.
...that's all for now. Have fun.
