You throw the Pokeball and... you caught Rattata!
You let him out his pokeball. Charmander seems confused that the pokemon he was just fighting is now supposed to be his friend. Rattata seems more interested in eating than anything else and starts nibbling on your backpack. You suddenly remember that you didn't say a proper good bye to mum, but, if you go back, she might convince you to stay.
