Stop and get gas

You decide that unlike discarding your communications, you will keep your mode of transportation for the time being.
You pull your car next to the gas pump. You pump your gas until you have a full tank again. You walk into the gas station.
The only person other than you at the gas station is the gas station attendant. The gas station attendant is an old man. He has white hair, wrinkles over his entire body, and glasses an inch thick.
"I have not seen you around these parts before. Are you new in town?" the old man says.
"Ya, I am on a road trip," you say with a giggle.
You hand over the money for your gas. The old man smiles and says, "Thank you."
