You step out of fourth hour and someone runs into you, nearly knocking you over. You are thrown to the ground along with your books which scatter all over the floor.
"Hey!" You exclaim, looking up. Kiba looks at you, scratching the back of his head and smiling innocently.
"S-sorry, Danare," he said nervously. "I was just coming to find you..." Kiba bends down to pick up your books for you. You feel kind of odd and bend down to help him.
"Are you okay?"
You look up and see Neji standing there. "Did you hit her?" he asks Kiba.
You decide to stand up for him. It wasn't his fault and it was sweet of him to come find you first. "No, I mean--It was an accident. Chill out, Neji, quit being so protective of me."
Neji rolls his eyes. "Anyway, Danare, let's go to lunch."
You stand up and brush yourself off. Kiba hands you your books. "Actually, I had already planned to go with Kiba." You watch Neji's expression, but it doesn't waver. "Fine. Danare, I'll see you later." Neji walks off calmly, but you know from experience that he's mad and sigh. Kiba turns to you.
"Forget him. Come on, Danare, let's go." I take another glance at Neji before following Kiba to the cafeteria. Kiba doesn't hesitate as he leads you to the pizza line.
"So, what made you move to Konoha?" Kiba asks.
You shrug, "My godfather Ao thought it'd be best if I lived in my hometown and made some friends."
Kiba's eyebrows scrunched. "So you mean, you didn't have any friends where you lived?"
You shake your head. "No, Ao and I lived alone on the edge of a small town. There are barely any kids my age there. My only friend was Kuro, my dog."
Kiba's eyes filled with pity. "That sucks." He smiled, "Hey, but I'll make up for those friends you didn't have! You'll meet a lot of cool people here, too." He smirked and turned to get a tray of food. Akamaru barked as they put an extra pizza there for him. "Come on."
You follow Kiba with your tray of food to a table with Hinata and another guy. "Hi Hinata, Shino, this is Danare. Danare, you probably already know Hinata since you're both Hyugas and this is Aburame Shino."
"Nice to meet you," Shino said. "I'm Shino of the Aburame clan. My clan specializes in bug techniques. We use kikkai bugs to fight. They feed on my chakra and share body with me."
"Yeah, yeah Shino. You're a creepy guy. If you tell Danare all that, she'll be scared of you, you know?" Kiba asked.
Shino replied, "I'm trying to give a proper introduction, which I'm sure you didn't."
"I did too! Didn't I, Danare?" Kiba looks at you questionably.
