The Echidna Tale/Vampire Emily/Next Day
From Create Your Own Story
Emily had been feeling even weaker that day. No doubt it was due to the lack of blood: she wasn't aware of how much had been taken from him, but she had even paler complexion than before, making her family extremely alarmed. She was calm about it, however; her family took this as acceptance and seemed to be happy about it. This made Emily angry. Why would it be a good thing for her to accept her death? She'd never accept it, the sheer thought of it seemed crazy. There'd still be so much to experience.
It was the evening again and the sun had gone down. Emily's heart was beating anxiously; she somehow knew the woman would return to her. She had left the window open for her, ready to give herself to her again.
Her eagerness was rewarded. The woman came again, silently in the night, as if floating through the open window into her room. Emily greeted her: "Good evening. Welcome back."
The woman smiled faintly and once again sat next to her, stroking her cheeks. "Hello, Emily." she said, looking deeply into her eyes. "How are you tonight?"
"I'm fine..." she said. The woman's cold hands felt good on her skin.
The woman was quiet for a second, smiling again. "Really? You look a bit sad. Is there anything you'd like to tell me?"
The girl did feel sad all of a sudden. She burst into tears, but the woman embraced her, comforting her gently. After a few sobs, she started speaking. Telling her about how unfair the world was, how envious she was of her sister, how her parents seemed to think it'd be better if she died off soon. Pouring out her heart to the woman made her feel better. Her sorrow turned into anger as the woman silently comforted her, petting her gently. After she ran out of fume, Emily was pushed gently on her bed again, the woman on top of her.
She gave the girl a kiss to which she eagerly responded. Then, she whispered things to her ear. She whispered of immortality, of freedom and power and darkness and blood. Emily listened in wonder an amazement, her heart aching, wanting these things for herself. She let herself be bitten again, the pain feeling like pleasure.
July came tonight as well, but Emily pretended to be sleeping. She wasn't interested in her sister right now.
