You keep hitting Valerie, who is still trying to protect herself, until someone manages to drag you away.

You free yourself, and looking over your shoulder, recognize the man as a gardener who regularly works in the neighborhood. He still carries a pair of gardening shears on his tool belt.

You grab the shears and as you turn around to get at Valerie you notice two police officers coming out of a now-stopped squad car and pull their guns, aiming at you.

• Attempt to stab Valerie with the shears before the cops shoot you.
