Carl, a 24 year computer analyst, went to bed Friday night as he did every night of his life. A single man with not much of a social life. Let's face it, there was no social life.

His head hit the pillow at 10:05 p.m., and he was asleep by 10:10pm. He always slept soundly, but this night, and those that followed would be different.

At 3:33 am his cell phone rang.
