Attack the shouting swordsmen
From Create Your Own Story
The shouting man was really starting to get on my nerves. I close in on him, easily ducking underneath the bearded man's axe swing as he took a strike at the other swordsmen. My opponent raised up his sword to block my first blow, but I wasted no time. Feinting back, I ducked under his swing, and sliced at a chink in his armor behind his right knee. He cried out in surprise, falling down to the ground. as blood pooled around him.
I ended his suffering with a blade through the throat, and then turned my attentions to the spellcaster. The man had ceased his chanting, and as I advanced towards him he raised up a dark barrier to protect himself. He hurled a ball of fire through the barrier, and though I ducked to the side, having expected him to attack, stray embers from the fireball singed my body and I sucked in air between clenched teeth.
This time, I ducked underneath the next fireball, and as I came upon the man I weaved around his barrier, stabbing to the side and through the man's unarmored side. The barrier fizzled into nothing as he collapsed upon the earthen soil. I licked the blood off of my sword, and turned up my nose in disgust at the sour taste. These men must have been tainted by demonic energy. As awful as the blood tasted, I could feel it flowing through my veins and mending my wounds.
Now to rescue the- I started to think, but as I turned around I saw the bearded man pulling his axe out from the other swordsmen skull. He hefted it over his shoulder in one swift motion. He sized me up with his gaze, before finally speaking.
"Thank you for saving my life, stranger. I don't think I would have won without your help."
