"Lord Colton himself, I believe," answers the guard. "For him, it's a personal matter."


He calls more guards, who take Miguel away --- your friend looks understandably confused, since this was not part of the plan. You are then led to a small office and told to wait here for your reward. You do not have to wait long. A tall, richly-dressed man with a short silver beard soon enters the room, followed by two heavily armed bodyguards.


"Ah... So you are the ones who brought in the dog who defiled my daughter," Lord Colton says. "I owe you a lot for this. Mr Jones?"

One of his bodyguards hands you a heavy pouch filled with gold coins.

"You have my eternal gratitude. But I'm afraid I'm too busy for more formalities. That will be all, I think."
