My frenzy was too insatiable to let his life escape. I surged forward again, ramming through his chest with the tip of my sword. As his the life drained out of his eyes, I smiled in quiet satisfaction to watch him die. +1 health.
The Axeman behind me yelled out in a fury, lurching forwards as he tried to lop off my head. I brought up my sword to block his blow, though it made me unable to avoid the arrow from the other archer. It struck me in the shoulder, and it took a concentrated force of will to maintain my block against the axeman. -7 health.
I allowed the axeman to step into my guard, but before he could swing at me I took off his right arm with a sweep of my sword. He cried out in pain as I swung down to cleave his head. +4 health.
Narrowing my eyes, I maintained a scowl at the archer while removing the arrow from my shoulder. The archer smirked, as he nocked another arrow and took aim.
Your arrogance will be your downfall. I bobbed to the side, easily avoiding the archer's shot. I advanced across the earthen soil towards the archer and as he attempted to drop his bow and draw his sword I interrupted him with a slash through the hip.
Blood stained my clothes, and a distant part of me, the part that bothered with appearances, was deeply disgusted. But not enough of me cared as I dined upon their remains.
It's been so long since I've tasted the sweet tang of blood. Though these sour men were no fine course meal, they would do quite nicely.
You are healed back to full health.
You have gained 40 xp and 6 Gold for killing the bandits.
Now, the question is, what do I do now? The hour was growing late, and already the sun was starting to set.
