You go to sleep in your cupboard. When you go to the kitchen to eat some breakfast, Aunt Petunia is washing horrible-smelling dirty rags in gray water. You ask her, "What's this?
She replies, "Your school uniform. Don't be stupid. I'm dyeing some of Dudley's old things gray for you. That way, you will look like everybody else at Stonewall."
You are about to respond, when Dudley and Uncle Vernon come in, with Dudley banging his Smeltings stick as usual. Then, you hear the click of the mail slot.
"Get the mail, Dudley," says Uncle Vernon from behind his paper.
"Make Harry get it."
"Get the mail, Harry."
