You fumble in your pockets to see if you have a cell phone to call the police but you don't find one.
You walk back towards the kitchen. Karen is behind you yelling about Juan not having a good job, being worthless. You try to tune her out but can't.
By some miracle this house has a land line. The cordless phone is in a cradle attached to the wall in the kitchen.
"911, What's your Emergency?" the voice on the phone asks.
"Yes I'd like to report an assault. This woman who is supposed to be my wife punched me and then she threw a kitchen timer at me," you tell the operator.
Karen, in the background is yelling, "oh yeah, you want to call the cops on me. Well get out of my house right now, and good luck ever seeing your children again."
