You lift the scarecrow right off the pole she's mounted on. You can tell she's female because of the blonde wig mounted on her canvas head and the black high heels on her feet. As you put her down, you can't help noticing that there's a rip right between her canvas legs. A tear... or a deliberately placed slit?
"Thank you," the scarecrow says. "That's so much better. Now, I don't have any brains, so could you think of a way I could scare these crows out of the cornfield?"
