You're correct! Midway published Space Invaders with Taito Corporation in 1978. It is now playable on the internet for free unlike when it was first released in arcades everywhere in Japan and The United States. The original Japanese version included a joystick, while the American version was created with two motion buttons, one fire button, and two start buttons.
