Consciousness returns to you and you find yourself lying on your bed, as if last night's events had been nothing more than a dream. Yet, you find yourself entirely convince that it had been real, as any doubts you have melt away as they enter your mind. Either you're completely delusional, or it was all real. Neither of which seemed convincing.
Out of habit, you head downstairs, for breakfast, and find your mother eating at the kitchen table. She has her back to you and doesn't seem to know you're standing in the doorway.
This would be a good chance to test the device. The only question is how?
