You tiptoe out of the kitchen and make for the front hall. There's a set of stairs going up and a doorway leading into a common room.
The person is bounding up the last few stairs. You opt to go up.
The upstairs has three bedrooms. You see the nearest one has a set of men's dress clothes spread out on the bed. You hear the back door slam and go to the bedroom's window.
