Your Aunt flushes with pride. Even at your young age you realize your responsibilities as the monarch's oldest son.

She cups her hands around your chin and says, "And you will be the greatest king this land has ever seen. You will restore this kingdom the greatness it once had. The citizens, forever in your debt, will chant your name as you pass by on the finest steeds in the world. They will build monuments in your honor and bards will sing of your heroic deeds until the end of time." 

Your eyes lit up, mouth agape, as she describes these wonders to you. You spend the rest of the party daydreaming of when you will be king. You imagine victory on the battlefield, amour soaked in your enemies blood as you dismount your white steed onto your new won land. You will defeat an ancient wizard and his thousand league army of dragons, winning the captured princess's hand in marriage. And, finally, you will die at an old age as a battle scarred yet very handsome old man,  surrounded by family and listening to the mournful sobs of your people outside the castle. 

All these things set your heart aflutter so it was no surprise that you couldn't sleep that night. Instead, you lit a candle and journeyed off to experience the castle's night life. 

Feeling more adventurous than usual, you decide to take the chance and explore unmarked territory: your father's chambers. 
	
He was still attending the party with your older relatives, making it a perfect time to see how a real king lives. 

You approach the large wooden door. 

Mustering up all the courage you can, you turn the ornate knob.
 
The room was spectacular. Large banners presenting your family's crest strung across the stone walls, along with paintings of your country's landscape: the rocky sloped beaches and grassy hills. But not all the paintings were so inviting. The processors of the throne glared down at you, not appreciating your intrusion. You tried hard to ignore them as you examine the room. 

In the center of the room there is a large four poster bed with silken red sheets that wells up a desire to be laid on.

On the west wall of the room is a magnificent library of books and scrolls along with a plush chair with one of such books resting on it. 

Next to the door, a sword is sheathed and hung up. The decorative hilt glistens seductively in the candle light.
 
Lastly, sitting on the wardrobe is one of your father's crowns. This one is not nearly as fashionable as the one he is wearing today, but it is modest and noble.
