Serenity's curiosity got the best of her. She had to find out where the blood lead to. Darting her eyes up towards the dark tunnels and back down to the blood trail to make sure she was on the right track, Serenity's heart couldn't help but to beat harder as a rotten smell intensifies, it wasn't the sewers excrement, but something else, something that's dead.
Pushing on wards, Serenity trips and falls forwards. Thinking fast, she then reaches out and lands on her two hands to catch herself from headbutting the stone floor. Picking herself up, Serenity looks back and drops her jaw in shock in realization to what she stumbled on. It was an arm, one that belongs to a body reaching outwards with blood dripping from their fingertips. Adjusting her eyes, the body was paired up with a few other deceased men who were lifeless for a quite a long time. The four bodies lay there in formal clothing with metal armor pieces that were all armed with long swords. These were clearly the four town guards that went here in the first place and tried to rid of the rats weeks ago. They have bits of flesh chewed off and scratches covered their exposed flesh; even their eyes where no longer in their head. Their mouths were left wide open, as if they all were screaming in agony when they were killed by the creatures.
It would be best to take what hasn't been chewed up and press on to do her job.
