Ask to see your father

She takes the phone and talks to someone.

"He'll be here in a moment."

A few seconds later, your dad is coming to greet you.

"Valerie? Is there something wrong?" He looks at your outfit, a puzzled look on his face.

"Don't worry dad, everything's okay. I just wanted to talk to you."

He leads you to his office, closes the door behind you and closes the blinds on the door's window.

"Are you sure those clothes are appropriate for this time of the day?"

"Dad, I know I'm not the perfect daughter but you always respected my choices. And I miss you these days. I realized that we don't talk enough."

He smiles. "You have college, you have your friends, you're not a little girl anymore. And maybe I've been neglecting you."

"No dad, you've always been there for me. In fact, I believe *I* have been neglecting you."

"What do you mean?"
