You decide you don't need the extra speed of having Epona. You set off in the woods, coming out in Hyrule field. You move as fast as you can, but without Epona it's harder to avoid enemies. You were getting close to Castle Town when you heard a scream coming from a different direction. It sounded like a young boy.
The sun was nearing it's midday peak...Zelda would be expecting you soon, and if you were late, she'd be angry. But could you really leave a kid in possible danger?
