You ask the bird what he thinks is so funny.
" You." Says the bird. " How are you supposed to fly without wings or light bones? You look ridiculous."
"This is MY dream!" You say. " I should be able to do what I want!"
"Well, that's not quite working out for you very well is it?"
The bird has a point...
