The city is called ''Vox''. ''Vox'' has conquered all the surrounding regions, and is the most powerful force on the continent. You work as Chief Assistant to the High Councillor. You answer only to him. You are a tall, strong, forbidding man, with cold eyes. You wear red robes, with a long hood hanging down over your face, blocking others from seeing your face. Your hood is painted with fifteen gold vertical lines. The gold lines indicate status- the more, the better. You are on your way to work, walking down a gravel path set with silver stones to the Room of Consequence. Your job is judging the Convicted, those who have committed offense against your city. The Room of Consequence is a room of judging. You walk along the path, and reach the pavilion, a large semi-circle of stone set into the ground just outside the building. The perimeters are guarded by an elite troop of warriors, each wearing blue and green full, monk-like robes, each emblazoned with a gold star in the middle. Each are holding a long wooden spear, topped with a gold head. You walk towards the biggest of these guards, one who is wearing a dull, bronze helmet. | |
