Bio: Dr Waldman was born in Dublin in 1841. He moved to Texas in 1856 and by 1863 had completed the schooling that allowed him to call himself a Doctor. He was driven from his home in 1864 by Confederate Forces, he fled north and ended up in Boston where he met his sire. He was embraced in 1866 and stayed in the city until he moved to London in 1897.

Once in London Dr Waldman began to study the field of Eugenics, the science of inheritance. He formulated several theories relating to kindred inheritance and the formation "superior" ghouls and kindred. Some of this work was circulated in London at the time. Waldman passed his time in London attending courts and carrying out his research until 1930. At this time he received a letter from a friend of his that had moved to Germany to expoit the growing scientific community there. He was inviting Waldman to join him, the German government were looking for capable scientists to join there Racial Purity reserahc programmes. Waldman jumped at the chance to get proper funding for his work and moved to Berlin shortly after. He stayed here until the German war effort moved it's scientific operations in the Concentration Camps. When Auschwitz opened in 1940 Waldman was assigned there to act as a sounding board for the work of several young scientists, he steered them away from the more mindless of there studies and into work that actually had a practical application. For all this lack of ethics Dr Waldman was a kindly fellow at heart and would not allow subjects to suffer once they were no longer needed and ensured that the experiments perform had a purpose (something which would not have been the case without him).

When the Allies arrived in Auschwitz in 1945 Waldman was no-where to be seen, nor where there any written records to prove he had ever been there. He stole an English uniform and travelled back to England under the cover of night hiding with parties of genuine troops. When he reached England again he entered a period of torpor that would last until 1969.

When he reawoke in 1969 he found London had changed beyond his recognition. Looking around the country he decided to relocate to York, the city was run by members of his Covenant and the city itself was appealing to him. Here he met a Ventrue by the name of Justin Hope, the two of them struck up an allience of mutual co-operation and over the years worked together on various projects within the city. The Doctor's relationship with the rest of his covenant is difficult to classify. He seems to have few overt political opinions and little interest in playing the games of court. However, if a subject moves him he will happiy join in debates and will always have an opinion if he is questioned about a topic. While his political stances may be unclear, his support of the Republic is obvious. It allows him to perform his studies uninterupted, he deals with any problem individuals that may be sent his way. After all, Vampiric subjects are not easy to find.

Dr Waldman is known to be actively involved in ongoing research. Anyone who has spent time in the city or within the Courts of York can tell you the rumours of his work, the stories of screaming madmen who crack under the strain of his methodical experimentation, the rumours that he is building his own hospital so he can continue his macabre work away from the public eye. The truth is that nobody save the Doctor and his subjects knows what truely goes on behind the closed door of Dr Waldmans rooms. Every now and again he can be overheard discussing recent breakthroughs with anyone who shows a passing interest in his work or medical research as a whole.

Dr Waldman is very much a scientist of his era. While he has tried to keep upto date with modern scientific advancement he has found (to his displeasure) that his first love has fallen out of fashion and that Genetics has taken its place. Though he has spent many years trying to get his head around the subject he still hasn't quite managed it, though his determination has not been blunted yet.

Dr Waldman currently serves Eboracum as the Preator, a role he has taken to well. He is known to be a pashionate Citizen and fiercely committed to both justice (as he sees it...) and the security of both the Republic and its Citizens.
