Quest 1: The Mazrim Cult

Not about to pass up some free information, you check around to make sure the coast is clear and slowly push the gate quietly all the way closed before ever so slowly setting the board that locks it. Now that none of the outside guards can interfere and no one else seems to be around... you pull out your dagger and wake the guard up with a dagger to the throat. He looks very startled and was obviously sleeping rather well. You give him a sly smile and press harder. The guard scoots back and before long has his back against the wall right where you want him. He looks afraid to gulp. "Not a very good guard are you?" You say.
The man just blinks and eyes your dagger. You realize he has a strange sheen over his eyes and curse slightly, it is obviously magic. What it does you are not sure but you get the feeling it can't harm you at the moment. "Tell me about this place, guard. Might as well do something useful while you are still alive."
The guard glances towards the rusted metal door. "This is the cult underground hideout." He frowns when you press harder, he is surprisingly keeping rather calm through all of this, you have to give him credit for that. "Through that door right there, that is an apprentice's lair. She tortures people in there and watches over the gate from time to time. We hear... terrible screams from in there. The current one's name is... uh.. Zuna?"
"And down the tunnel?" You press.
The guard shuffles oddly against the wall. "Um. It slopes down into some guard hovels, most of the guards stay around these parts when we want to get away from the city. Um. You go down past the hovels and there is a barracks. Past that is the city. Um. There is another entrance to the city from above but that just has an armory and supplies and stuff. I haven't been lower than the city. Not many of us have."
You nod thoughtfully. There is no way the heirloom would be on this level. Likely not in the city either. You need to get to those lower levels. How to get there though... that'll be more tricky. Without much of a thought you knock the guard out then tie him up and throw him into one of the crates to make sure he can't sound the alarm later when he wakes up. As you are inside packing him down you suddenly hear a noise and duck down barely looking over. You see the metal rusted door open and glance over the inside of the crate carefully to watch. Walking out of the metal door is a beautiful but cruel looking woman with long flowing purple hair, nice black garb that is a step up from the cultists, and strange yellow eyes. She closes the door behind her then starts heading down the tunnel further. She is obviously not the apprentice that the guard described.

Boss Character Revealed - Katelin[1]
The woman has a very attractive body, with large breasts and skinny hips. She carries a large black whip and looks like she knows how to use it. She looks very dangerous, the evil alignment easy to spot on her. She constantly wears a smile, as if she knows something that you do not. She is obviously a spoiled woman used to getting her way. In any case, she does not look trust worthy and is obviously a higher ranked cultist.

You wait till she is out of view before popping back out into the open and look around. You are not sure who that was, but she was no apprentice. Was the guard lying? No, that was probably the mistress of the apprentice. Just by the way she walks you can tell you'd rather not have to mess with her if you didn't have to. Waiting for her to leave you simply hide for a while. When she is a good distance you quickly decide your next move but suddenly hear more footsteps not long after coming back up. You realize after a few moments that two guard have rounded the corner and are now heading your way. It is a guard patrol! They'll realize something is wrong as soon as they get to the gate, you'll have to react fast.
