You get in your car and drive around for a few hours before turning around and heading back home. Lisa is on the couch crying and Katie is gone. She looks up as you walk in and sobs harder; you don't know what to say and go sit next to her. She leans on you and you have the strong urge to push her off but know that you shouldn't.
You ask, "Why? When did this start?"
She replies through sniffles that it was just a one time thing and will never happen again. Katie is gay and she was lonely, so she just decided to comfort her. You don't know if you believe her or not, but you hug her anyway. She kisses you, but you definitely feel her holding back something. You ask to postpone the wedding and she can't understand why. You just say you need to be sure this is the right thing. She becomes defensive and borderline aggressive at this suggestion and thinks its just an excuse. Maybe she is right. You two continue your relationship for the next few months as usual. Tension still sits in the air like a heavy cloud, but nobody has called off the wedding yet. You arrive home from work one day and Lisa has made dinner for you. Its baby back ribs, baby carrots, baby spinach........oh shit.
There is a pregnancy test on your plate (gross) and its positive. Lisa has a cheek to cheek smile as you see it, but your heart sinks. You cannot have a baby with this cheating bitch. You should have gotten rid of her and evil dog when you had the chance. Now you are stuck for the next however many years with her and this unwanted kid.
