You give the officer your pre-rehearsed cover story about being a Lebanese businesswoman traveling to Syria on a business trip. He asks you a few more questions, then waves you on through. Your story worked!
You continue east along the highway towards Iraq. As you drive, you begin hearing artillery shells booming in the distance. They grow louder the further east you go.
You round a bend in the road...then suddenly slam on the brakes. Directly ahead is a stopped Syrian military convoy blocking the highway. The first and last vehicles have been blown up into charred metal shells, blocking the convoy's path front and back. The soldiers are firing at a hillside, from which fire is returning. You've walked right into a full-scale battle!
One of the soldiers notices your arrival. Looking at you and your assault rifle, he shouts, "Well, don't just sit there! Help us defeat those terrorist scum!"
- Join the Syrian soldiers and open fire on the rebels
- Shoot the soldier, then join the rebels' side
- Loudly announce your neutrality and refusal to join either side
- Turn your Jeep around and drive back the way you came
