Break down the door

Dez reached out, running his hand over the smooth surface of the door. It was just cedar. He squared his shoulders, running his tongue along the edge of his teeth as he tried to judge the thickness of the door, the solidness of the doorjamb, the strength of the latch. Dez slipped inside and shut the door behind him. Zeth was standing in front of the window, looking out over the grounds, but turned as the latch clicked into place. His face paled at the sight of Dez.
"How did you get in here?" he demanded.
"You didn't imprint the door," Dez said. "I did. You're in my room now."
"Then I'll leave," Zeth said, striding forward. "Get out of my way."
Dez should...
