You can't contain your curiosity. You'd intended to just play it cool and pretend to not care who you were going to marry, but while your servants make the carriage ready to leave, you approach Duran when no one is watching. "Hello, you smelly drunkard" you greet him, "Care to tell me where you're dragging me off to?" He chuckles lightly. Then he startles you with an intimidating glare "Sure lass, I'll tell ye if only ta wipe that annoyin' smirk off yer face" he grins at you evilly and bursts out laughing as your facade of bravery cracks and you take a step back.
"Hmpf. Stop fooling around and answer the question, you jagaloon!" You almost yell at him angrily with an adorable, embarrassed blush on your cheeks because he won, again. This is the real reason you avoid him, whenever you try to talk down to him you're the one who gets embarrassed. In between laughing fits caused by the look on your face, Duran tells you about your spouse.
