Like previously mentioned, you lost the respect you had in the eyes of the Spy Organization, and dying made them loose all respect for you, and your killer took your place in the eyes of the Organization, however they remember you killing one of the worlds best Snipers, but the unhonorable way of doing so didn't help people respect you more. The Snipers and Heavies were thankful, and the ones that helped you on the original assault attended your service.
At least they would if they were not killed.
The Engineer you were supposed to kill on your original mission is still alive today.
