Bar the door and sit back down.

You tiredly stand up and bar the door shut. You don't want any visitors this late in the night. Not anymore. The knocking grows louder, and you sit back down, this time by your dim fire.
Finally the knocking stops as you light your simple wooden pipe. You start to doze off.
