Teeth clenched, you dive straight towards the searchlights, all eight Browning machine guns blazing. You shoot blindly, hoping to destroy them by sheer luck: such is the brightness of the light in your eyes that there's no way you can aim.
The anti-aircraft guns on the ground, however, can see you just fine. In unison they open fire, blasting your plane to bits. In a matter of seconds, you are riddled with bullets. You do not live long enough to see your plane crash.
