You cast the spell and feel a clear sense of threat take root in your soul. The approaching shape, says an inner voice, is a vicious Serpent!

Then the break in the grass is upon you, and you see what has made it – an enormous Serpent, its body the thickness of two broad men and its eyes red like stove-pots, lit with an inner fire.

The Serpent rears up out of the grass and bares its enormous fangs! You are ready, with sword in hand, to take it on.
