It's a boring trip on the bus, and walking fucking sucks, so you take your board and roll on down the sidewalk. It's fall, bordering on winter, and the air is a little windy today so you take it upon yourself not to get cold by wearing your favorite windbreaker. You round the corner and there, sitting on the ground picking up scattered papers, is another student. You recognize her from English class, but a name doesn't stick. You could do a good thing, but a thought crosses your mind.
- Not your problem, skate past her.
- Never mind the thought. Stop and offer to help.
- Skate into her, even though you can easily stop.
