Conjure a tennis racquet

You tuck your old-but-good dagger into your tunic pocket, then you grab your spellbook. You conjure up a temporary tennis racquet and use it to bat the winged peanuts out of the air. They hit the ground and dissolve. You eliminate them all in a few minutes and you let your racquet return to the ether that you conjured it from.
You rest for a few minutes to recharge your magical energy after that small expenditure. Then, since you know that tentacled monsters move very fast, and that the monster was moving towards town, that your Valkyrie-girlfriend lives in town, and that tentacled monsters like doing... things... with scantily-clad young maidens, you decide to move quickly.
You:
- Rush off towards town to warn the people
- Rush off towards town to protect your girlfriend
- Use your long-distance magic to kill the monster from here
- Let the town and your GF die and go visit Grandma!
