You examine his face, soft features and shoulder length black hair. You smile at him and try to strike up a conversation, he just stares blankly at you through gothic make-up and glazed over eyes. Looking at you then returning to his gaze out the window, you feeling a little dejected.
Then out of nowhere, a hulking figure turns around from the seat in front, sporting a grin the joker would be proud of.
"Ha, you're not gonna get a conversation outta Scion there. Right, Toby, Tobe, Tobe?"
This solicited an angered reply and a stare "of a thousand daggers" from the young goth.
"Hi, I'm Derek", throwing forward one his strong arms to embrace yours.
