New England Patriots/ Tom Brady And The New England Patriots Will Defy The Odds And Repeat As Super Bowl Champions

From Create Your Own Story

Though the New England Patriots may be undefeated, they are not the sole proprietor of a flawless record, and have some serious competition in regards to accomplishing a potential "perfect season". Currently, both the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers are possessing a superb 7-0 record.

For Denver, they are coming off of a huge week eight victory, exposing Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers imploding offense. For Carolina, the Panthers fought tooth and nail, scratching out a tight victory over New England's arch nemesis, the Indianapolis Colts. Once again, an elite defense exposed a crumbling offense in the process.

As of now, the Broncos stand to be the biggest road block on the Patriots path to perfection, but it doesn't seem to worry Brady. “I could really care less about those type of things. When you reflect back, you think, ‘Wow, that was a great year.’ But when you’re in the middle of it, you can’t do anything about a game in December. We have one mission, this week. It sounds like a cliché but it’s not, because it works. It’s what our team is about. We’re short-term focused.”

Being "short termed focused" is a template that Bill Belichick and the Patriots have used to construct the very core and foundation of their team and it has been a winning formula over a span of a decade. But longevity is key, especially midway through the season and maybe, just maybe, New England should start worrying about a potential matchup in Denver.
