"I thought you'd say something scary like that." You respond and keep slowly climbing down.

You get lower and lower it seems like forever.

You look up. A small speck of light at least 200 meters above you is all you see.

five more rungs and your foot touches water.

"What the fuck." you say aloud. Terror courses through you as you imagine something evil and dangerous living in the water.

You hear a noise, laughter maybe.

You look around and see the dimmest light coming from an opening at the water's surface, big enough to swim through.
