You respond to her text by saying "Yes, But why do you ask? And why do you seem anxious?" She says "LOL I'm not anxious I'm stoked! A trip to the lake with my family and you sounds like some good fun!"
The way she said good fun still has you on edge. So you decide to blatantly ask her. "Good Fun huh? How so?" She responds with "Don't worry about it, Its not a big deal :)". Though you're still nervous the thought of getting away before college sounds like relaxing. You finish packing everything. And get on a bus heading to her house. You drive by a house that has a 1985 VW Cabrio for $699. You still don't have enough and you get frustrated. You turn your ipod on and listen to music trying to black out the smell of the homeless dude whose been eyeing you since you stepped on the bus.
Finally you get to your stop and Allison meets you. She gives you a big hug and says she's so excited. She said that Her family is going to leave late that night cause her father has to finish some last minute business crap and says we can take the Jeep and leave just the two of you. You get a strange vibe but again its your best friend so You don't think much about it. So the 2 of you get in her car and do the 2 hour drive to her parents cabin on the lake.
The two of you are blasting tunes and having a good time. When you need to get gas.
