The plane takes off smoothly. You settle back in the baggage hold and relax. The presence of pets in carriers - two dogs and three cats - gives you comfort. At least you can be sure that the hold is heated and pressurized. You wonder where you are going. You hope it's someplace friendly.

About two and a half hours later, the plane lands. You hide behind some large suitcases in the deepest part of the hold.

The door is opened. A baggage handler comes in and begins moving the bags out one by one, putting them onto the moving ramp that takes them off the plane. His companion stands at the bottom of the ramp, loading the luggage onto a cart. You steal a peek at the inside worker's uniform. You're in Dubai. It should be easy to get home from here.

Finally, the baggage handler comes to haul off the suitcases you're hiding behind. When he sees you, you give him your most dazzling smile. Then you suddenly headbutt him, knocking him out.

You call out to the other worker in Arabic. Even if your feminine voice is clearly not the voice he's expecting, you still know what he'll do - come into the hold to investigate. Sure enough, he does just that. As he looks around, puzzled, you sneak up behind him and tap him on the shoulder. When he turns around, you greet him with a punch to his jaw, sending him to the floor unconscious.

You quickly remove the uniform and badge from the smaller of the two men and put them on, then simply walk out. You head towards the far side of the airport, away from the terminal. Although you are seen, no one pays any special attention to you because of your uniform, and they are too far away to see that the picture on your badge is not of you. Near the fence that marks the edge of the airport, you wait until no one's looking, then hop right over it. No going through customs for you! You head back to the airport terminal from the other side.

Sixteen hours later, you are back in Washington DC, with the precious data drive still tucked safely in your knee-high black leather boot and a story to tell!

THE END
