You walk up to the police line, but are stopped by one of the police offers there.

"Hold it. Nobody crosses this line," he says.

"I'm here to help get the guy up there down," you respond.

The officer looks you over, and before he even asks you can see his questions in his eyes.

"I was down at the beach and just got the call. I didn't have time to change," you say.

"What's going on over here!?" a female officer asks as she approaches.

The other officer explains to her why you're there, and she promptly lifts the police line to let you in.

"Sorry about that. Look, our help was supposed to be here 15 minutes ago. If you're stepping forward, then you're it," she says as she leads you over to the person with the megaphone.

"How are you going to do this?" she asks while turning to face you.

• Say you'll talk him out of it with the megaphone?
• Say you'll go up there and talk to him face-to-face?
