You have no desire to go back to Helgen. Riverwood sounds safer, and you're eager to put some distance between you and the burning ruin of the town that nearly took your head. Though your aching body protests, you begin down the road. The cold flagstone chills from toe to head, balanced only by the cloudless noon sky and Magnus' bright heat beaming down.

The trip is long, taking most of the afternoon. You pass some ancient-looking standing stones. Normally this would interest you enough to stop and look, but today has not been the greatest day; sightseeing is not foremost on your mind. You see smoke in the distance. Your heart sinks initially, but you realize soon that it's merely chimney smoke. A good sign.

You hear something move to your right. You whip around to face it, just seeing the dark-colored wolf charging at you, teeth bared. You raise your arms in time to intercept it, grabbing its forelegs, but it manages to tackle you to the ground and get a jaw full of the rough rags, barely missing your skin. The beast rips at your clothes, tearing out the chest. You toss the creature away finally, the tenacious beast taking most of your shirt with it, the both of you rolling to your feet as quickly as possible. You manage to ignite a fire in your hand, and with a wild swing, douse everything in front of you in flames. The beast yelps and scampers off, whining and pawing at its face, leaving a smell of burnt fur in its wake. Today has not been the greatest day.

The sky is beginning to turn orange as you finally reach Riverwood, arms clutched at your chest to cover your bare breasts. Though you could care less about your own modesty, the locals may not think too kindly of a person, a mer especially, wandering into town with tits unashamedly bare. An old woman on her porch gives you a glare, which you in turn ignore. You notice a general store and an inn along the right side of the road. Either one might have something for you to eat or wear, and the inn could provide a bed. A smithy sits to the left; though you have no money for arms or armor at the moment, it might also be worth looking into.
