Continuing to eavesdrop on the argument, you hear another voice reply:
"That is authentic, take it or leave it. I can't be bothered with amateurs!"
"Do you have any idea who you're speaking to?!" the first voice shouts. "Here, let my assistant show you..."
And with that statement, you're shocked to see a brilliant orange flash burst from the second floor. A man's voice shrieks in pain, and immediately afterwards you see a tiny sparkling object drop from the balcony and roll right up to your feet.
You look down to see a small purple gem.
