You nod briefly to your men in a silent signal. Then, as one, you all point your pistols at the guards and open fire. A brief but violent shootout ensues... When the smoke clears, two of your men and all of the guards blocking your path are dead. A long, tense silence follows. Then a bell rings nearby... the jail's alarm, no doubt. You do not have much time left to clear the building.
"You're all going to hang for this," Lord Colton promises quietly.
The wounded Edward lets out a moan of pain, and you notice that the pool of blood under his leg is expanding at an alarming rate.
