"Who are you?" you ask

"I am Valfried von Furchstam. And you, who have intruded on my peace, are?"

"My name is Melissa Parker." His answer has emboldened you, so you launch into your spiel. "I'm from the Lager and Hays firm in New York. You're Walfreid von Furchstam, Carl's brother?" You ask incredulously.

Walfried raises an eyebrow. "I know of no Carl."

"It's just.... Carl von Furchstam died, and left this property to his brother, Walfried. I'm here looking for him."

"Here?" Walfried asks, clearly amused. He looks around the ancient room.

"Well, yes." Feeling that explanation was inadequate, you continue, "And I'm looking for my co-worker, Michael, too."

I have rather lost track of zem over ze centuries." He walks to one side of the room, eyes never leaving you.

"Are you.... are you a vampire?" you ask.

He smiles widely, revealing those glinting teeth again. "Ah! Smart lady. Yes I am." He has reached a drinks cabinet. "Vould you like somezink to drink? I have a fine assortment of vines, and I don't drink zem myself..."

His back is turned to you, and he's no longer blocking the door.
